“Doctor Cinema” Youth NGO, within the framework of ArtFest Republican Open Festival is organizing documentary filmmaking course with duration of a month lasting from May 12 to June 10, 2015.
Young people having own camera and desire of making a documentary movie but is lack of respective knowledge for that, is eligible to participate in the program.
Regardless of their professions, the chosen participants will get a chance to learn and experiment topics like – watching and analyzing documentary films, discovering the theme for their own ones, shooting, editing and finally conveying the results to the audience. The course will consist of both theoretical and practical aspects of the work. During the practical part each of the participants will shoot his own documentary short film, the best ones being shown at the end of ArtFest festival, meantime only one of them will get be honored with a special prize of Jury.
The aim of the project is giving an opportunity to young people of different professions, to learn the secrets of the Documentary Film and tell about the problems they are disturbed with through their own films.
The course will be held at Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography.
The working language is Armenian.
The Course will take place under the supervision of YSITC PhD researcher Seg Kirakossian.
The selection may include the stages of applications and interviews. Applications should be submitted in Armenian.
The ones who will overcome the whole term will be given graduation certificates.
The participation is FREE OF CHARGE. The materials made within the course frame will be attached to Doctor Cinema’s video archive to be used later in other projects of the organization having the copyright of the author protected.
